Refunds, Returns and Warranty Policy

Last updated: 27 March 2026

Ranger Wreck supplies used automotive parts unless stated otherwise. Because these are second-hand parts, their age, condition, prior use and price must be taken into account. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights or remedies that apply under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Change of mind and incorrect selection

We do not accept returns, refunds or exchanges for:

  • change of mind
  • incorrect selection by the buyer
  • items no longer required
  • issues arising because the buyer did not confirm compatibility before purchase

We may provide part numbers, descriptions and guidance, but the buyer is responsible for confirming compatibility before purchase.

2. Store warranty on used parts

Unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of sale:

  • most used parts are supplied with a 30-day store warranty
  • most engines are supplied with a 3-month store warranty

The warranty period starts on the date of delivery or collection.

Some parts may have a different warranty period, or no additional store warranty, where this is clearly stated at the time of sale.

3. Conditions of warranty claims

To make a claim under our store warranty, we may require:

  • proof of purchase
  • evidence that the part was fitted by a licensed vehicle mechanic
  • the mechanic’s invoice or installation record
  • a description of the fault and, where reasonable, supporting photos or diagnostic information

Our store warranty does not cover faults or damage caused by:

  • incorrect installation
  • misuse or abuse
  • modification
  • overheating
  • accident damage
  • neglect
  • normal wear and tear
  • use of the part for racing, competition or another unintended purpose

4. Faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose

If a part is faulty, significantly not as described, or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee that applies under the Australian Consumer Law, we will provide a remedy as required by law. Depending on the circumstances, that may include repair, replacement, refund, or another appropriate remedy.

Second-hand goods are assessed having regard to their age, condition, prior use and price, and any faults or defects specifically disclosed before sale.

5. Timeframe to contact us

If you believe there is a fault, please contact us as soon as possible after the issue becomes apparent.

For claims under our store warranty, you must contact us within the applicable warranty period:

  • 30 days for most used parts
  • 3 months for most engines
  • or any other period clearly stated at the time of sale

6. Return process

Before returning any item, you must contact us first so we can assess the issue and provide return instructions.

Phone: 0412 214 922

We may ask for photos, invoices, diagnostic details, and proof of professional installation before authorising a return or warranty claim.

7. Important note

This policy sets out our store warranty and return procedures. It operates in addition to any rights and remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
